Fashion has been an interesting topic for me since I started to pick out my own clothes. When my professor explained the guidelines of this assignment I knew I can expand and dig deep into this field. In retrospect, fashion has been used to convey a message and intrigue viewers. Others simply do not care and put on whatever clothes they can find. Everyone has their own taste on what they choose to wear. Celebrities such as the band Kiss chose to display themselves in makeup and extreme clothing so they can attract a larger fan base. Social media influencers wear rare pieces of clothing to show their viewers that their personal taste in fashion is 1 of a kind. My blog is going to focus on fashion particularly from college students. This would consists of anyone who is 18-22 and is attending a University. I live on campus of my university and believe my personal experience along with extensive research will provide lots of information throughout my blog posts. I want to look into the decision making everyday of a college student before class and what factors play a key role in this decision making. Another goal of mine is to interview multiple subjects and acquire more knowledge on their fashion background growing up. This will reduce bias on fashion due to random selection on those being interviewed. I want everyones opinion here! Special posts might occur about a specific subject, particularly someone who knows a thing or 2 about fashion. It would be great to collaborate with someone on providing some brief insight on fashion and shopping for certain pieces of clothing. Journalism is a crucial profession and press coverage would not survive without this activity. This is why I am excited to start off my journalism career by creating something as inspiring as a blog!
